What I really don't get is how come it says will the object continue to move after it comes to rest? Of course not. If it comes to rest, then it is no longer moving... =/

If you throw a ball straight up into the air it will reach a point of rest (when the balls velocity in all directions is zero) before gravity forces it to begin its descent back down to you. A similar thing happens in this problem.
